It seems like a seven step journey to get there but it works and my machine is back. There isn't a simple way to get to the settings.

Thank goodness I wrote the review or I would have forgot how to do it. The tablet isn't frozen, the screen has been shut off. This causes the computer to act like it is frozen when it wakes up. When Windows did their routine update the display setting was reset to default.
I am exceedingly pleased with this portable computer.
